I have one of these. Unbelievably accurate at 10 meters. It is at least as heavy as my Anschutz 1907 and people who see it are amazed it is an air rifle. It is built like a tank. ZERO felt recoil and the trigger is unbelievable. The weight of the rifle makes it very shootable. The weight dampens movement.
There is an accessory rail underneath the forestock for a handstop and single point sling. The stock is very nice walnut. The aperture sights are very well made. They are German. Nuff said.

This is a fantastic practice rifle if you are shooting heavier match rifles. I primarily use it to practice prone since that has become my primary match in the last 2 or 3 years.

That target was shot at 10 meters. One shot per black dot. This target was VERY difficult because the dot was so small relative to the size of my front aperture. This target did win in an online match a couple of years ago. Now that I have an adjustable front aperture I think I could do much better.

I don't have the adjustable front apertures, but I can change out inserts.  I have also succumbed to the eyes of a guy 50-something, and added a Gheman 1.5X rear sight with adjustable iris and +/- 4.5 diopter correction.  My accuracy substantially improved when the 30 mm bull of the 10-meter target actually came into focus.  It is amazing how much difference the size of the front aperture makes.

Great shooting, Charlotte, especially the standing off-hand shots.  Is that #3 just off the black at 10:00?  And those would be 9 mm or maybe 10 mm bulls, right?  Excellent shooting, young lady.

Do you ever shoot at the Edelmann targets?  Do you have one of Pogo Timmy's pellet traps?

I have the Gehman 530 rear iris also.  You are right about the errant pellet at 10 o'clock.
I have a nice stack of the Edelmann targets.  The pellet cuts a really clean hole with them.
PogoTimmy?  I have visions of someone standing next to a 7-11 late at night with a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20.
Just kidding.  My screen name conjures a picture of me sitting in a public bathroom with a cord tied around my arm trying to give myself an injection with a CZ 452 while screaming, "I missed."  No, I don't have one of his traps.  What are they like?
This section should be lots of fun.

Here are several of Tim's target traps.  All filled with duct seal putty.  And here is the link to the 5-meter range on my screened porch.  You may get a clue about a couple of other factors that affect my accuracy.  I have a small trap I made from a cigar box on my screened porch. It is a great place to be on a warm summer afternoon.

Looks like you have nice toys.  I admire your Walther.  BTW, you know the guy who took gold in Beijing in Air Rifle was shooting a Walther.
Are those the traps with the Duct Seal?

Thanks.  Yes, those are all filled with 4 to 5 inches of duct seal.  And by the way, your vision of Pogo Timmy is pretty much correct.  And I hope one day to be as good a shot as you!  Do you own a copy of "The Ways of the Rifle"?

Absolutely, I own Ways Of The Rifle.  Money well spent for anyone shooting competetively or who just wants to improve their shooting.
It's not what you'd call a "good read".

Yes, but kind of like some magazines, you can learn a lot just looking at the pictures.

The book requires you to think and do/experiment.
It took me quite a while to digest a lot of the stuff in there...many things won't click on the first read.
On some stuff, I've had to read, re-read, and re-re-read, and then go try it out before things clicked.

One thing to remember, the book is based around a specific style, what I call the European stance...vs the American stance.  And as the book shows, even within the European stance, there are MANY variations.

But the meat of the book is great.
I wish I had the book when I started.  Would have saved a LOT of frustration.

Everybody is using these methods now.  Equipment will vary, one example is the jackets used in NRA high power are not legal for ISSF, but people do what works when it comes to method.  The thing that makes this book so important is that it addresses the body mechanics aspect of shooting to a higher degree than it used to be.

OK T man. Here is what you need. Those 50 year old eyes will thank you. Glasses or no glasses.

Knobloch, made in Karlsruhe- W. Germany

Fully adustable apperature for your dominate eye so you don't need glasses. Just close or open it so you can 'zone out' and focus through the peep sights of the FANTASTIC FWB300 10 meter match rifle .

They make you look real cool too:

Don't wear them to the mall though. People will stare.

Spent many an hour shooting 10 meter matches. At the time I couldn't afford a FWB 300 so I found a Daisy model 126 single pump match rifle that would same hole all day indoors on a rest. Now off hand, different story.

Used to love reading the stories about the Germans showing up to the match after chugging a few beers to 'calm their nerves!" Course that was back in the good ole days.

Chuckle!
Still waiting, too, to see your new logo Tim.  Guess Gene didn't want to risk going with one of my suggestions.  And yes, Gene, good soul that he is, gave me an extra that he had.  But the order for two more still stands.  I still need an extra for NC and another for the brother in TX.  PM me your mailing address, please.
