One post by itself just looks sad.  Anyone got any long range groups to share?

OkieDokie - Here are some groups from the BSA Scorpion carbine cannibalized from an earlier post:

Not bad, not bad at all!!!  Have you tried Kodiaks in that thing yet?

Gene gave me a few in .22 for the AA 410, but heck, they are big and heavy and ugly.  No, I haven't shot anything heavier than Beeman FTS 8.8 gr pellets.  The little rifle can do better, I think.  I do have some .177 CroMags somewhere that would be heavier, but lobbing really heavy pellets with a PCP is like cheating, isn't it?  I mean, after all, why shoot a high velocity PCP rifle if your just turn it back into a low velocity air rifle with heavy pellets?  Might as well just stick with a single pumper if that were my intent (LOL - just kidding - sort of).

You may be very surprised Mr.Tommy.  I have yet to own a PCP that didn't like Kodiaks, and my AA S400C shoots them the best out of any other pellet I've tried (JSB 4.50, JSB 4.52, Gamo Hunter, CPL, CPH, FTS).  My TalonSS .22, also with an LW barrel, shot Kodiaks hands down better than anything else I tried.  Sure they're heavy, but man do they group.  You may also find that although they are slower, your FPE goes up a bit because of the weight...I know the paper doesn't care, but if a pesky squirrel gets in the way he might.  Of course you may try them out and find that they shoot like junk, but then where would the fun be in that:)  Btw, Cromags only grouped "ok" for me in one gun out past 15 yards or so, and in most guns they shot like shotgun fodder, I actually gave a full unopenned tin of them away at one of our shoots because I was tired of carrying them around in my shootin' bag...haha!!
