Cow Patties......(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-sealed.gif)

Makes a definite PLOP, both when originally dropped, and hit.
Ok, I know its sick but its fun.  Also a great way to test the destruction a pellet causes.

Don't act all innocent here, you know you have all done it...

No pics posted.

Not me. No way. Never ever ever have I shot a cow patty. Well.......... OK. I admit it.

Fresh ones are the best!!! HUGE splat and makes a nice cone shaped hole.

Oh my...     I hope I'm not interrupting but as a small child wandering the pastures of northern Kansas I too was guilty of playing a role in the cow pie conspiracy.  There was nothing better than a half-dried poo pie up against my pump-up Sheridan and that gun and I were a team.

Only in these later years have I discovered a whole new dimension in prairie fire...

ANT HILLS!!!

Whole civilizations DESTROYED in a matter of minutes!!!

For safety sake, don't shoot wet ones too close without proper protection.

How about we just shoot the flies off the fresh drops ?  You take the blues, I get the greens....
: Hey, I've done that too!

When I was a kid I'd shoot 'em at my cousins house.
Fresh or semi fresh dog crap works too.

Yes Troy, that too! hahaha...many hours of micro- pest control as a kid. And I hadn't remembered that in a long time...let's see...flies on poo, japaneese beetles off the roses (without hitting the flower), yellow jackets and ground hornets off dead meat ( headshots if possible!), carpenter bees on the wing! How many pounds of BB's did you shoot? Shooting has to be fun, and sometimes you learn somthing anyway!

Grasshoppers and crickets with a Daisy 15XT. Now there's a pistol that will teach you trigger control! :)

Tea spoons at 20  and 30 yards. Sometimes I'll try to shoot off the nozzles on empty spray-paint cans at the same distances. Off-Handed of course!!!!!tjk

Well Guys,

I guess that we agreed on organic targets for our postal shoot ! Now we need to decide on the size of the target, and just what constitutes scoring on it ?

If we go for the cow pie,I would appreciatesomeone sending me a few, as they are not available locally :(

So which Organic targets, are we going to use, and who is scoring them, I recomend someone with experience!

And will we need to record the sounds of our hits ? It seems that the "PLOP" may be important to scoring ?

You're onto somthing there Bill...what is needed is a parabolic mike on the tri-rail to record the 'organic' sounds in all their glory. Slowed way down on the play back...PUHLOOORRUPPPUH !
Or even the teensy little voice, screaming..."Bob!...Bob!...Speak to me!!"

I don't know what possessed me to start this post but I'm  so glad I did.
I get a gut laugh when I read all the replies. My wife just looks at me with that,
"you retard" look. Then that even makes me laugh harder.
I guess I have a low thrill rate.

PUHLOOORRUPPPUH !  I can see the funnel in the Poo Pie now.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)

Well I got a big black lab that can hold her own with targets.

By the way, I watched my wife learn a valuable lesson during a recent, and rare, snow storm. NEVER randomly scoop up snow for a snowman in the backyard where a big black lab lives!!
