Kinda slow on Friday nights, just stirring the pot...
-
HMM:) Its hard to say no to that one, very nice indeed. thanks for sharing, Tony.
-
When you get tired of it, I'll take it ! :)
-
Looks awesome. Are they as quiet as I have been reading about?
-
Absolutely yes. Unbelievably so. Every shot is just a "ping" and it takes a while to get used to the fact that is shooting at all, much less 14.3 grains well over 800 fps. I just don't see how they could get quieter. I put a vid on Youtube comparing it to R7, and it doesn't really do it justice. Quieter than R7, quieter than anything, no foolin'.

very sweet looking gun. its nice seeing "Made in the USA"

Hey Dave, great up close photos. Like I said in one of my posts that Crosman did a great job producing the Maurader. They are a great build and you can tell by the pics you put up. Mine looks exactly the same but with a Simmons White Tail scope. To say the least I am very impressed with the consistancy of shots along with it's excellent accuracy. I would rather shoot the Maurader than my AA-410 Classic that cost almost double..:)
-
Dave you really know how to turn the whole forum against you dont you. Really nice gun though. Im debating between getting a Theoben Evolution, or a Marauder and a pump. Tough decision.
-
Brod Man, you have been here long enough to know there is only one solution to that dilemma- get 'em both! You'll just have to mow a few more lawns or something.
To be fair, that is apple and oranges. I have never had an Evolution but know them to be top-drawer shooters.
Don't forget the hidden cost of PCP (at least your first one). You are going to need a tank, or at least a pump. Most of the people using pumps end up with both, at least on the 3000psi guns. Once the pain of the first one is gone, you are set for any others. With your Theoben, like a springer, all you need to add is a tin of pellets. It took me a few years of denial before "springing" for the tank and paraphenalia of PCP.
But now that I have the Marauder I can't imagine wanting anything else. Just a dream gun!
-
I like the marauder, but yes there is the extra cost of a pump, and a scope. With the Theoben, i just add a scope. I think i might surprise everyone with what i get. Im not going to say anymore, just wait....
-
Dang it, now I have to buy one, lol.
-
Gun looks good!!! Is the trigger guard and trigger plastic ????
-
Trigger and safety lever are metal. The trigger guard itself is plastic. Nice plastic, though, seems quite heavy enough to take normal wear.
-
I like my Marauder .177 so much I think I am gonna buy one in the .22 version. ...:)
-
Have any of you Marauder owners noticed how great the trigger is? They are easy to adjust to your liking. Mine come set from factory and it has a perfect first stage and sharp break. Just can't get over the quality and design of the Marauder. A great buy for the money...

LOL Gene...I was thinking I like my .22 so much I was gonna get a .177...(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif)

That is funnDavid..:) I am sure there are others who feel the same way.. A fantastic PCP for the money for sure.
-
Gene, I am still in love with your .177.
I didn't want to fondle her to much while I was there
but man was she sweet.
-
Gene, the trigger is just about perfect out of the box. I might lighten it up one of these days but it is hard to argue with this thing. I still have to get the time to master all the rest of the important settings (hammer stroke and tension, metering port), but it is all just "gilding the lilly" as the saying goes. Right outta the box, it is just like a dream.
I justnowlet a non-AG friend of mine shoot it off the ironing board, at about 13m. It is fun to watch the amazement at the power, lack of noise, and accuracy. He vaporized the bull with 10 shots, one flyer due to excitement. Story is the same over and over again. Granted that's not long range or anything, but it is just an impressive piece.
