: Disco on CO2
: fxud April 02, 2010, 02:11:50 PM
Has anyone actually tried their Disco on CO2 ?  If so what fps did it get ?  How many shots per fill ?  Would you recommend it for summertime shooting ?  Seems like it would be a viable option for us poor folks who only have a hand pump -- IF the loss of performance is not too great.

I've never set my disco up for C02 bud I remember reading some posts here and on other forums about shooters who did if I remember correctly they were getting very good shot counts and fps levels in the low 600's for .22 and 700's for .177.

I have a .22 18" barreled Air Force Talon that I set up for C02 during the summer months and I love it.  Shooting CPHP's and CPL's the Talon averages right around 650 fps and I get about 900 shots out of the 24 oz tank I use.  I use it for starlings at the duck farm and I have a blast.   C02 definitely is fun :)

Ball park numbers:

About 20-30% less vel. on co2 (depending on temperature) and about 40-60% less energy.  At it's best in the heat of summer, where the extra strength of the 2K air tube is appreciated,.

Not all that easy to bulk fill (can do a search here on "bulk filling'') but it's a viable option in the summer... suxs in the winter.
