: B25 cocking issue
: Furseeker May 09, 2010, 01:59:54 PM
Guys I need some help from some of you that have a lot of experience with the BAM type rifles. I have a B25 in .22 caliber, the bamboo stocked version. Anyway when I cock it it will only engage when I pull the trigger at the bottom of the cocking stroke. I has a only a few rare occasions cocked with doing the trigger pull thing, but 98% of the time I have to pull the trigger to get it to fully engage. I had it apart last night and everything looked normal but upon re assembly it still act the same way. Any ideas?

for some reason the trigger isn't engaging the sear, if you have the adjustment screw all the way in it could cause this or possibly a defective safety. have you done any polishing of the trigger parts? or removed the safety??? If the trigger in the B25 is the same as the Diana's T-05 trigger, I'd say chances are good that the sear plates aren't/weren't placed in correctly. That or the adjustment screw on the blade is over adjusted too tight. Can you add any other info on the rifle?? tjk
