: Rekord Triger - Help!
: TCups April 26, 2008, 10:26:15 AM
OK, read through the instructions about the Rekord Trigger in the library.
It was raining today, so I dropped the trigger out of the R9 and was doing that thing where you pull the trigger 200 - 300 times to break in mechanism before adjusting the trigger.
As I am mindlessly clicking away, using a plastic ball point pin to cock the 1st stage in between clicks, the trigger has come apart in my hands.  I now have the loose S2  Lever 2, lever 2 spring, and a one washer or spacer that doesn't seem to be pictured in the diagram.  God as my witness, the pivot pin for lever 2 is still in place.  I am going to need some help here to get this back together.

I have photos, but of course, it looks like I am going to have to restart the computer to be able to get them to come up on the desktop so I can attache them.

This?

Well, sorry, computer problems too, it seems.
Here's what I have.  Looks like the spring on one side and the spacer on the other centers the 2 Lever.  I am not sure of how to go about re-inserting the parts and getting the spring cocked and locked, though.

And of course, now I cant see how to attach the pictures to this reply. . .

Looks like if you put in the pin to hold the spacer, then put the spring under the centerpinwhile slipping the hook toward the trigger blade until the hook holderpin starts, you should be able to align the pinthrough the other side of the block through the spring. If that method doesn't work, get the spring and hook in positionstarted on the pin, then put the spacer in place until the holdingpin seats.

What are you doing tomorrow?  See the diagram with my notes.

It looks like, to me, to tension the lever 2 spring to pull the bottom of lever 2 forward when the trigger is pulled, it will have to be wrapped counter clockwise around the pivot pin, with it's long end resting ON TOP of the same pin as the lever 1 pin, not under (as in green).  I can't see how this works, otherwise.  The only way I can see to see to do this is to insert the long end of the un-tensioned spring over the post, then put the pivot pin through the spring and lever 2, then hook the short, hooked end of the spring and pull it over the back of lever 2, then slide in the spacer and push the pivot pin home.  Seems like a fair change of damaging the spring, though.   So what are you doing tomorrow?
: The spring in the .pdf doesn't seem to be right.

The latch spring is certainly on the upper center {open}pin on my trigger assembly. I'm still messing with it.
: That spring does make it tough to align the hook.

It took mea couple of jewelry screwdrivers, a smalldrift and a hook to get the alignmentcorrect. Not real easy, but it seems with enough play {to get the spring, hook and spacer in place} with the tiny flat jewelry driver, then the drift can be run back through, to 'align' everythingwhile setting the pin back into the block.
