Here's what I have.  Again, it looks like the spacer must go on one side, the spring on the other side, and the 2 lever in the middle.  Any suggestons?

: Safety slot in the 'off' position dictates where hook goes

Look at where the 'slot' on the safety goes in the 'release' position, and the hook should 'line up' to 'trip' when it fits.
