Hi guys, new to the forum. Just bought a new gun, arrived today. I saw it in a magazine and after hearing good things about it i couldent help but buy one.

Loving it so far, not got any pellets yet though so tomorrow is pellet buying and zeroing in time.  :)

Once im used to it, i've got a few goodies coming, got a silencer and gold cocking bolt coming from Portland Jon, and if he manages his new design of a magazine to fit into the XS/QB's then i'll be having one of them too. Will also tune it upto about 11.5ft/lbs. Also, not too keen on the stock, i prefer lighter stocks like on the Lightning, so i will either wax it so it brings the grain out more, or make a completely new stock, along with a few custom bits such as finger groves etc, so its personalised for me.

Couple of my BSA Lighning with it too.

Welcome aboard LM

Glad you found us. Our forum belongs to our members.. A great bunch of good old boys here. We have members from all over the world and enjoy the many posts we get. There is always someone who will help you if  you have any questions... Don't forget to take a look through our Library and our Mall has retail and select tuner links. If you have any suggestion on how to make things better, just make a post. Also take a look at our Forum rules and guidlines. We do not discuss silencers here for the reason it raises eyebrows with certain government agnencies...:)

Allot of us have QB's of all different shapes and mods. Nice airguns you have. I have three of those QB's but it is getting cold here now and I only shoot outside so the C02 is not as good in the cold..

You'r going to like taht little rifle.

Is a wealth of help here, but in the posts and in the Library section.

Use the gun beofre doing any stock work...give yourself a chance to get use to the rife and decide how you want the stock to fit before refinishing (or you'll end up refinsihing it twice).

Will do fella, got a few bits for the gun coming in the next few weeks. Maybe a little tune then start work on a stock. Just gunna make it the same as the original but with some finger grooves and a better colour

Even a couple of months later, am still working out the stock on the "match" version....add a little here (mostly an adjustable butt) and taking a bit there (the pistol grip).  Getting close to being done....looks a bit poka-dotted, but didn't see the sense in finishing the wood until all the changes were made.

For me, may take a good range session for eadh of the last little changes...what feels fine at the start might be an aggrivation by your 80th shot.

Have doen a little bet of testing on the stock...am thinking of a lighter color for the wood, not blond but proably something in the lighter tones.  So far, oil based stains have produced the better  color results.

Here's my QB78...or uhm, AR2078 I guess...same thing, only different.

I also have a home tuned regular QB78, super addicting gun....like they all aren't...hehe. You're going to fall in love, I'm even thinking of selling my car so I can buy a crate or to of these things...just so I can say,"Man, these things rock so much I bought a crate of 'em".

Hey Dan, I hope you don't mind but I love your stock so much that I am having a go at copying it. At the moment it is still a lump of glued up plywood with a gun drawn on it.
