different scopes for different airguns
« on: June 09, 2009, 10:45:34 AM »
Are there certain scopes that certain airguns prefer.  That is do certain airguns get along with Leapers and other makes of airguns tare them apart.  Shooters who have bad luck with certain models of scopes is it because the scope is weak or is there something about certain airguns that affect them.  Watching comments made about certain brands of scopes brings this to mind.

Depends upon your springer.  Some, like a Diana 350, will require a very robust mount and scope combination.  Others, such as the Beeman R7 can work with scopes that the 350 will break.  What you need to do is ask which scope for your gun.  I think the major manufacturers all offer them in different grades of durability.  Or, if you have deep pockets, buy a Lyman - they are air gun rated with a lifetime warranty.
