POI Deviation
« on: March 06, 2010, 08:53:03 AM »
I sighted in my Disco today and was getting 30 shots from 2000 psi down to 1000 psi. What I noticed is my POI RAISED about 3/4" as the pressure reduced. Am I seeing things or does that make sense? Shooting CP's .177 at about 25yds. I'm confused

I'm still learning something new everyday with my Disco Dave but I know there's a sweet spot as far as POI and pressure. I learned that the sweetspot on mine start's around 1600psi so I only fill to that point instead of a full 2000psi. Are you using the 7.9's or the heavies at 10.5gr?. I was using the 10.5 Premiers and started to test the Predators, JACKPOT!. The Predators hold the bullseye longer then the Premier heavies. The PCP pro's will jump in here bro but it took me a little time to dial her in and knowing where to start with the psi fill. Ed

Ed hit the nail on the head....... the fps will rise when the power curve reaches it's highest point.  Once at the top of the curve you will have your most powerful shots,,, as the curve goes down from that point on the fps will drop as well.  The sweet spot on my .177 disco is right around 1700 psi, at that point my fps is a tad over 1000 and I get about 10-15 shots at that level,,, after that the fps starts to slowly drop as the curve goes down....
