Disco stock makeover 2
« on: February 18, 2010, 10:38:18 PM »
It seems i'm too stupid to add pics in the other thread, so sorry about this new one.
Here's a quick pic of the result. I'll put the bipod on in a few days when i'm sure the paint has dried completely

thanks gentlemen. I'm quite pleased with it myself. The medium hight mount makes loading a bit harder, but I'll stick to it until I get one of those 'mags' which demand high mounts. Then again, 'one shot, one kill' right.
Hey, I just figured out how to post pics in a reply :-)

Well, I cut off some wood and added some new ;-)
Not sure what the correct name for the areas are, so if I don't make sence, just tell me.
I sanded the end of the pistolgrib flat, and added a larger than needed piece of wood glued on. foreend of the stock was cut about 2 inches back, and a large piece  instead. The cheeckpiece/rest was also sanded down as far as the recoilpad and new wood glued on. The underside of the forearm was sanded and new wood added.Holes for screw etc were drilled Plastic wood was used where the two woodtyped meet, but actually only very little was left after I finished sanding. New adjustable recoilpad was screwed on and sanded to size. to avoid too much bright metal, I took it apart and painted the aluminium black. Stock then got some primer and was sprayed a flat black which has a bit more gloss to it that I hoped fore.
With the MuzzleBrake and bipod mounted it now has a tactical/sniper look to it :-)

Okay there're quite a few spelling-issues in that post, but it was written on my phone :-)
Anyway, I hope you get the idea.
