Airsoft pellets v feral cats!!
« on: June 08, 2010, 01:02:34 PM »
OK here's the question, for the last few weeks, I've had two feral cats come round at night and make the most outrageous noises you can imagine! Now I can't shoot them because it's illegal and I can't poison them because that's just not right so I was using a pea shooter with airsoft pellets! When I score a hit, they run away but only keep on coming back to start howling again! Airsoft pellets are 6mm balls, I have a .22 Disco, so I was thinking along the lines of airsoft pellet in the Disco, loose fit, lower velocity, maybe just sting the feral cats enough to make them think twice about coming back! Anybody got any views on this? Cats are about 10m away!

I had a little airsoft pistol I'd scare the cats away from my deck.  It really couldn't hurt them, but they learned to respect it! They'd hear it getting cocked and bugger out!

One of my FAVORITE things was to sting the squirrels in the feeder.  I'd get in my daughter's room downstairs and open the window. Man they JUMP when you hit them in the rear with an airsoft pellet. :P

I have never used an airsoft pellet, but I am sure a paintball gun would work very well. At least my buddy complains when he gets shot with it!
