Not too long ago the B50 made a blip on my radar, I thought it would be a good PCP to play around with and modify, I was able to do some things myself but I'm no tuner.
I contacted Big Ed and in a series of emails we kicked around what I wanted from my gun. My main goals where:
Re-barrel (with a .177 Lothar Walther Barrel)
Shroud (full-length 26 inches was the figure we cam to I believe)
Tune (19 FPE for 40 shots for hunter field target)
Trigger work (lighten and straighten)
Barrel Band (shroud band in this case)
I had finally got the barrel in the mail and sent Ed everything. I had poor timing this time around since he was in the process of a major overhaul of his machine shop. I made weekly checks on the progress on the gun via email, and Ed was always responsive, towards the end of the process he called me several days in a row to iron out the final details. I was very pleased with our communication, I was in on all the decisions of work done to my gun.
Ed, sent the gun back to me in it's orginal condition plus the new goodies installed, along with my stock parts and an email giving me chrony numbers along with a $20 dollar refund. He said I payed too much but I dont believe him .
I took the gun out today and decided to slap on a misc scope and a springer base and rings to test what this baby could do. I filled it to 2,100 PSI and sighted in with Kodiak heavies (pellets Ed said shot well).
I was sitting on my bum bag in the sitting field target position, I know this isnt the best way to test accuracy but that's how I like shooting.
Here is my first group after zero'ing at 40 yards

On top of that it's 10 Shots!!!! Well I had a big sh@#t eating grin on my face after that, and I shot another honest group in the same size range.
And my fellow shooters that isnt the half of it, this gun is QUIET, I mean very quiet, the only thing I can compare it to is a genuine dust collector I have, it is really yard friendly and that is at about 18 FPE.
The trigger is set just to my liking not too heavy and a clean break, just a good feeling safe trigger is the only way I can describe it.
Here is a shot string Ed sent me, I havent tested it myself but I've done enough shooting to know the numbers have to be close the gun is a very flat shooter.

Remember these numbers are from what most claim to be a crappy chinese gun, not after Ed worked on it!
Here's what you really wanted to see, this is the gun it is a b51 but I'm working on the thumbhole to make it more user friendly for FT, So I tested it in a B50 stock.
