I know this thread is about the Bam out of the box issue, but I am really curious about another gun that is hmmm a lower priced PCP. I am interested in the Sumatra 2500. At 400 bucks it seems like a reasonable starter PCP. About the only thing that I have heard negative about this gun would be how loud it is. Hmm maybe another thing that is negative for a lot of people is the looks, I have heard other describe it as butt fugly but I myself like the way it looks. I know Gene has one but I havent really read any normal people reviews of the thing, lol not saying that Gene isnt normal but I guess I am meaning ummm hmmm well maybe I am just fixing to eat my shoes lol.

From what I've read, most people like them, quality wise they are better than Bams, but then again they are $100 bucks more.   The best starter PCP IMO is the air arms Classic or the Airforce talon SS.  All have adjustable power, decent shot counts.  where the Air Arms and the talon pull away is the soud dept.
I like fancy bb guns

Hmmm I sure wish I could get more opinions on it hehe it has adjustable power and a magazine setup. Gene I think its time you do a new Sumatra review hehe.
