Retesting (preaching to the 2078 choir)

the Chinese can make good barrels.

Retested the heavy weights.  Usually better to make choices after a couple of spaced out sessions of testing. Same rifle, sights not changed from previous tests.

First tests:

Second tests:

Don’t think i’ll be getting rid of this issue Chinese barrel or feel the need for boosting the vel. by using higher air pressure; 850 psi gets the job done just fine no matter how cool it is outside.

Did notice that ALL of the groups formed a little lower than the first time. Shooter, scope, rest, etc. were all the same, but some difference in hold or eyesight could be at work.

The two best pellets in the first test continue to be the best pellets.  the two “also rans” switches positions, fewer fliers this time with CPH’s and more with the Silver Arrows.  Makes little difference, neither one is shooting real well in this rifle’s barrel.

Rifle:

Funny you should mention that because I'm thinking about making a muzzle weight for my QB79. Thinking about one for the B50 and the MP512M, also.

Or were you talking about the heavy weight pellets? All of my pneumatics and CO2s seem to like them, too.
