A few Words on GAMO barrel pivot bolt removal..
« on: June 10, 2009, 04:00:02 AM »
Basically, for us Home Gamers out there...... Don't try it.    The degree of difficulty is too high.  Your chances of  ruining the bolt are too great.  You will either break the bolt or strip out the socket for the #25 torx bit.

I just happened to speak on the phone with someone who knows his stuff (regarding AGs)  this morning and he stated that he himself has had bad experiences with this bolt.  He stated that GAMO uses a special  technique to hold the bolt in place.  And that it takes a heat source of at least 350 degrees to even begin to loosen the bolt.   This is more than I want to try . I would most likly set the gun on fire or melt the darn thing.
Basically not worth the effort.
