Beeman P-17 w/BSA Red Dot
Daisy .177 Precision Max
5 m  2 H/Standing  Indoor
Score:  142-3x/150

After working with iron sights for a couple of weeks, I decided to put the Red Dot back on.  I think it helps me get a clearer picture on the target.

I tried a new (for me) pellet this week.  The Daisy Precision Max Pointed pellet from China....the gun seemed to like them and they are easier
to load than a wadcutter.....and cheaper than the RWS I've been using.  I'll try them in a rifle match with my new Daisy 953.

Therman

Congratulations, Brutuz, on an excellent match!

More of my zen moment with the pistol this morning. All was right...
Personal best on the CO2 Pistol match and tied my personal best (maybe the x's were better??) here.

Bill - I think we tied it up. Whatever place we tied for is yours. You are definitely the more consistent shooter. I still count this as luck.
Not to mention that one of the x's looks iffy in the scan, looks good on paper though.

Crosman 1377, 3 pumps, SOH, 1 hand
Pellet: Crosman Competition Wads

YUK!!!  Tried shooting this morning after THREE CUPS OF COFFEE... it was already 91F.  Both the pistol and I broke into a sweat almost immediately!  First thing I noticed is the trigger had developed a catch ... humm ... might have been the blue loctite I used to secure the bolt handle or maybe just the heat and humidity. Anyway, after a few warmup shots, trigger seemed manageable, but not good. I'll have to check it out later.

So I started the match anyway ... getting hotter by the minute.  At least the skeeters weren't out! However.... a LARGE hornet (about 2 inches long!) decided he (or she) liked my shirts colors. LOL!!! What a round!  I thought about "cheating" and shooting another "official" round, but no - rules are rules.  I'd already decided this was my official match, so I just had to suffer through it. LOL!!!  I may just wait until FALL before I try to shoot a match again.

STAN: Would you put me up for the summer?  You're welcome to stay with me in Houston during the winter months.

George I can put you up here....but then you won't be able to shoot legally.....even this match which I shoot in MY basement is technically considered illegal.....because I'm shooting inside city limits.  Crazy huh?

All the 10 meter and 10 yard matches done in my backyard would be considered illegal too.  The 30 yard matches (2 of them) I do with some friends near their place....near some railway tracks.....I also shoot most of the 10M and 10Yd matches there also in the summer....COULD be considered illegal.  One of them have asked a police officer if he could shoot there...and the officer said, "Sure, no problem....just be careful and make sure there's no one walking around while he's shooting".  But then one officer's interpretation of the law could be different from another.
