Has anybody made a keyway release
« on: February 21, 2007, 01:43:11 AM »
for the QB-78 to dump the excess gas from the chamber similar to the QB-79 (I think that's the one of them that has it). Mike... if anybody has done it, it's probably you. Perhaps a how to "some instructions or diagrams" would be nice. Gonna post this in the QB Gate also.

For 16 bucks you can buy the tube for a AR2078 from Archer and it comes with the key, for that price it's not worth the effort to make one.

Yup... you are right about that Rich. I didn't realize that he had it. I haven't visited that site in quite awhile and he has added quite a bit.

Thught about it..figure I'll make up my mind the next time I have to take the rifle to pieces.

Do like the feature, use it on the .177 version earlier than most would...once I can detect the fall off, tend to dump the CO2 rather than shoot.  Same with the ones without the keyway release, but i just hdry fire the thing until pressure drops....much prefer to get it over with quickly.

Good to know that if I foul up the job, a replacement tube down't cost an arm-n-leg.
