I liked my TF99 (QB36-2) in .177, but I sold it... never had the 87 so no help here. I have the Beeman SS1000 version of TF89, also in .177, and like it better than the TF99. It was much more finished on arrival than the 36/99. It was not as heavy as the underlever 99 and is a break barrel, which I prefer.
There is a lot of information here on the 89 series and clones as you probably know. I didn't think the 87 had much in common with the 89s but I don't know.
