Dave Dunn a.k.a. "DaveD" excellent trader...
« on: August 23, 2007, 10:13:31 AM »
Dave had a Leapers scope on the classifieds that I had my eye on.  I decided to harass Dave into trading me something for it and he agreed.  I made him a wood set for his TalonSS and sent it off to him.  Over the last couple weeks we have been emailing back and forth, chatting it up and such, he had already shipped the scope, but the setup I was making him wasn't quite done.  Dave insisted that he was getting the better part of the trade and offered me a .22 barrel for my Talon, which of course I tried VERY hard to turn down, but Dave insisted.  So today I get home and there is a package wwaiting for me.  Package looks pretty big to be a 12" TalonSS barrel, but there it says on the return address "Dave Dunn".  I pick the box up, and thought,"Man, what did this guy ship me a cinder block?".  I openned the box, look inside and fiirst thing I see is the 12" barrel, then I see a tin of Beeman Kodiaks in .22, AND a tin of Kodiaks in .177, and the rest of the box......is filled with some real nice looking hard wood, which I suspect is North American and English Walnut, but I am still waiting for Dave's reply.  Dave has not only been a good person to trade with, he has also been a good friend and fellow airgunner.  I will make him a piece of furniture for one of his guns any time.  You all have to remember, the original trade was for a scope, which I got and am thrilled with, this second package of airgun stuff is just the icing.  Thanks Dave!
