Didja hear about =ed( Ed Therom)? Walther LG300 blew out the bolt
« on: September 08, 2007, 05:47:27 PM »
Seems the retaining pin on the bolt sheared and the HP air blew the bolt into Ed's face, cutting him . The blast also screwed up his hearing. There's threads about it on the Yellow and Green forums. Seems there was a post on one of the forums or BB's about this a while back. but the factory evidently didn't fix it. Let's all hope he is OK.

I hope he's alright Ric. As we stress here, all airguns can be dangerious no matter the type or cal. Our thought's and prayers go out to him. Ed

Man, I hope he's okay!  He sure seems to have rotten luck with AG related stuff, especially the PCP's.  As I recall, he was one of the first of the GTA "oldtimers" to slip into the DarkSide, and that Air Wolf gave him more than a few fits.  Hey, best wishes to you =ed, and hope everything works out okay.

.

Thanks, guys...

I guess I pi$$ed off some goddess along the way thru life, and she snaps at me on occassion. :)

Modest nick on the cheek, but my right ear still hurts. I'll have it looked at.

Now I'm using my Airwolf until it's fixed.

I'll try to sell it again when I get the Walther back.

Ya know Ed,

I can tell you are a good fellow just by how you are reacting to this whole thing,  you see a a little nick on the cheek, and a broke gun.

Everyone on the Yellow is screaming LAWSUIT!! LAWSUIT!!! TAKE PICTURES, CONTACT A LAYWER!!!!

And in the middle of all that I just see a fellow who wants his gun to work.  Kudos to you and I hope everything gets straightened out with that fine gun, I have a feeling it will be fixed and shooting as good as ever in no time.

Not to be a smart alleck, but I would wear safety glasses just in case, once it's fixed.......I guess I should take my own advice, never thought about PCP's giving out like that right in the kisser!!!
I like fancy bb guns

Hope your ear pain isn't something serious and gets mended soon Ed. This is a good reminder to us all to use safety glasses and follow safety guidelines even when just out plinking.

My glasses are safety glasses, so I'm covered.
