Pump gun weekend match
« on: February 12, 2009, 03:31:15 AM »

Since there has been an interest in having a pumper match, I thought I would initiate this weekends match. So here it goes!!!

This match will be for pumper type weapons. Multi or single pumped rifles and pistols. .177and .22 calibers. All sights are permitted.

The style will be "Off-Hand" shooting without any type of rest, support, etc.

The distance will be Ten yards. Eye protectionis advised.

The targets can be the Gamo targets from a store,..or the Gamo5 ringed target down-loadable which is preferred to deter "Cherry-Picking" as T-Cupps refers to. If using the Gamo5, be sure to magnifiy the printout to 125%.

The shooter has the option of shooting five rounds at four targets, or four rounds at all five targets. All shots (20 total)must be in consecutive order.

Scoring will be the same as is in the General Target Shooting gate Match #2.

Finally the most important rule,.....Have Fun and Enjoy Yourself!!!!!!!

Feel free to add comments or suggestions if you feel I've missed anything. Thanks and Happy Shooting!!! Thomas

PS. If anyone feels this match should employ a different set of targets, please speak up. I think there are alot of good targets in the library section of the GTA, and this would also keep things more conforming (target wise)for all participants. tjk

I'm in....just got a multi-pumper today.  Shot about 50 bb's through her already in the basement.....will need to bring her outside in the rain unfortunately tomorrow to sight-in for 10 yards.  But I think the rain will stop by tomorrow...but the temps dropping 10 degrees....back to -6C.

There might be 3 or 4 GTA members that will be shooting their multi-pump pistols in the "Multi-Pump Pistol Match".....10 meters off-hand (one hand) standing, Gamo 5 target sheet.

And there's also the "Steriod" 15 target sheet Match going on too......10 meters, one shot per target, off-hand, any type of gun and powerplant.

I'm going to do all FOUR matches.......wheeeee....it's going to be a fun weekend.

Now, see that's just wrong. Steroid match indeed. That's what the pumper match ought to be called!  :)

Did the 10 yard Off-Hand Multi-Pump Rifle match a few hours ago....in the -8C temperatures with 4 to 10kph windgusts.  Boy, my bicep is sore from all the pumping (rifle and pistol) while practicing indoors.  Pretty bad scores due to using bb`s.....or maybe it was just me  ha ha.  Will be posting the scores in this gate later tonight.
