OK, finally had the chance to shoot the Steroid Match. It's not as easy as it looks is it?

Rifle: Baikal MP512-M .22 caliber w/ BSA 4X32AO scope

Ammo: Daisy Wadcutters .22 caliber

Distance: 10 meters

Score: 106  I counted that shot in the middle of the top row as a 10, but could it be an 11?  .22's just barely clear the white center!  :D

Aftera few practice shots and two matches I shot the third match of the afternoon (One after each other).....and ended up with the lowest score to date in the "Steriod 15" match. Had to shoot quickly due to incoming rain....rained for 4 hrs right after the last match. It's going to rain on alternating days this week....so I've to shoot when the opportunity is there. I'm thinking if I should re-do this match since I dropped 30 points compared to last week!!!!!....but I thought if this was a real match....what's done is done....... Next time I'll take a break in- between matches....or shoot the next day.

Gun: Gamo Viper, Scope: Gamo 3X9-40mm set at 7X, Pellet: .177 Crosman Premier Hollow Point, Distance: 10 Meters,

Gamo: Expotec .177 + Big Cat .177 + Viper .177 + Whisper .177, Hammerli Titan .177, Diana model 24 .177, RWS-Diana P5 Magnum pistol .177, Crosman: G1 Extreme .177 + Storm XT .177 + Sierra Pro .177 + 1377 pistol .177, Air Arms S410SL .22, BSA Scorpion T10 .22, FX Cyclone .177, Remington Air Master 77 .177 + BB\'s,

Guys !

I tried as hard as I could ! I concentrated on every bullseye ! But one little second let me down, on my lucky 13th. target,,,0 yep, I lost my mind, and I don't know where it went. The sights looked real nice, but the telling is in the counting. I know I'm gonna try harder to keep my brain back in my head !

Take your .22 cal pellet, place it in the hole, if you think it fits inside the white center, give yourself 11.

It looks like your doing fine, just stop rushing to the next shot, WOW some real great hits !

Still too tough to tell. It looks like it just grazes the edge of the black. I'll stick with the 10.
Every other shot seems to have a nice clean hole, except that one!

Gotta work on the patience thing. And at controlling the shakes!
Thanks!

You could say 'I'm a little pleased with myself!' Apart from one major flier (Seemed to go off on a BOAC!) I think the boy done good!! I used the 'visualisation' tecnique on the last 3 shots and I astounded myself! I will be doing this next week!

Details:- Gamo Maxima .22 (new spring), Barska 3-12X50 IR set on x6, Gamo Match pellet 10m offhand.

Tried the 'Steroid' at 12x with my HW77 in .20 cal  I was sighted in at 20yrds so I had to hold over on every shot. I'm pleased with the results.

What a difference a gusty wind makes!  I actually shot much better in practice during the week. But, gusty winds to 30 mph took their toll on me today for my "official" target.  I really envy you guys that can shoot indoors.

Does breaking the white "line" count as the next higher ring?  I had a few really close ones on this target.
