raising funds for a B26-2!
« on: January 17, 2007, 04:21:36 PM »
Gamo S1k .177, a month or so old, with lube/shrinkwrap tune and Rich's trigger insert shoots great, 400+/-  pellets through it.  I don't care for synthetic stocks I've discovered.  Pics can be taken upon request.

RWS Model 92 .177 a year old with maybe 700+/- shots through it, no tune or tweaking ever, some light stock scratches from being in a closet for the last 6-8 months, could probably rub them out with a little elbow grease and some wax...chronied recently at 715fps using crosman wadcutters (I know it's rated at 700fps, but the chrony wasn't lying:) .  This thing is very accurate and consistantly kills 1 1/2" plastic army men at 13yards(the length of my backyard range) with open sights.  This is NOT the youth model, it has a buttplate and is full length. Pics can be taken upon request.

Looking for either cash or a gently used B26-2 that I plan to tweak and refinish, so if it has a scratch or two that is ok, but must not have been reshaped, and must function well/correctly.

If you have either cash, or a B26-2 in good working order and are interested in either/both of these two rifles, email me at danieljnelson(at)sbcglobal.net and we can discuss what sort of deal we may be able to make.

Neither of these two rifles is a "must sell", but if I can get a B26-2 to play around with I will be happy, of course if you have something else besides a B26-2 that is interesting I am a sucker for cool stuff(airgun related) also:)

Thanx for looking,

Dan

Hey, Dano, if you got a B-26 instead, I'm sure Gene would trade you the stock from his 26-2.  Heck, he's actually sold a couple of guns lateley (GASP!!), maybe he'd sell that.  Only thing I'd have to trade is my 44 Mag scope, it's working out on the CFX, but I still don't like it that much.  The Leapers spoiled me, I guess.  Some day I'd like to try a Shadow with a gas ram.  Later.

Well here's the funny part of the story.  I have wanted a B26 since they came out a year ago or whatever, but it always seems like I buy something else when it's purchase time, or something comes up.  So when Gene asked me to do some work on his stock I felt that I would feel more comfortable if I did my own first, hence why I need a B26-2...but I have made some largish purchases lately, so I would need to shed something first or my wife may kill me in my sleep:)  I am always one scope short for some reason or another, so your Simmons is an interesting offer also, what do ya want for it?  Email if you like.

Ultimately I would like to find someone with an extra B26-2 that wants one or both of my rifles in trade/partial trade +/- cash.  Then I would mod my stock, send it to Gene, if he likes it he could keep it and send me his stock to make into whatever I figure out I want.

Anyways, that's my story and I'm sticking to it:)

Yeah, I know what you mean about the wife, if mine knew what I've REALLY spent on my CFX (~$600?), I'd be waking up dead some morning.  Re: my Simmons, see ad above.  Wallis just popped up, looks like he has a Leapers he might be interested in trading, so like I told him, let me know what you think.  Well, I better quit messing around on this forum, I still have work to do today.   Later.

If you can get the Leapers go for it!  Wallis also mentioned that he can still get B26's, so if I can sell one or both of these I think I'll be better off going for what I originally decided to sell these to get:)

I know what you mean about this forum, one minute "I'll be there in a minute"...2 hours later,"I thought you said a minute?"

hehe,

thought I'd add a couple pics for anyone interested.  The S1K looks like an S1K out of the box.
