using 88g co2 on a qb78.

is there an adaptor available to use 88g. or 9 oz paintball tanks in the front of a qb78 like a 79???

here ya go               http://www.archerairguns.com/AirSource-Adapter-p/cairadapt.htm ...they also have an on/off valve you can put between the adapter and the gun so as to allow you to bleed on pressure from the gun...lottsa other stuff as well,you cant get the 88 sorce adapter its for the qb79 but u could get the adapter for paintball bottles the nipple is about 45 degree drop in the end cap so the paintbottle will be in a slide position.u could email rich in mich ......jorge

Not quite so easy to get it right.  Could just add it on, drilling two holes in the gas tube in just the right spot, and let the gas block hang in the air, but it really needs the support of the stock (like it has on a QB79).  So it's better to shorten the gas tube of the 78, add the gas block, inlet the 78's stock,  glass bed the bottom of the block to the inletted stock, then add the two supporting stock screws into the block.  It's not hard work, but it's detail work.

I like it...gives a full length fore arm.  Does add weight out front, but it hasnt been a problem for me (here they are running on HPA, but small sized co2 tanks will fit just as well): Click on picture to enlarge



Archer is out of stock on the gas blocks...might see some coming in during the summer.

I've left one running on 12gr.  Even with others to shoot, it's real nice to be able to just jam a few 12gr. into your pants pocket, a tin of pellets in the other pocket, grab the rifle and head out to the woods.  So far, have never been offered more gray squireel shots than one set of 2gr. can offer, even boosted up in power to a short shot count.
