winchester 1000
« on: June 08, 2009, 05:53:11 AM »
Hi everyone.
Well, before I knew better and had joined and read many messages, I had already owned this ''daisy'' winchester 1000 for a couple years. I'm finally getting around to checing it out. A very long story about a tornado is related to this, but that's another matter.

Does anyone have experience or advice about how to modify the trigger pull ? or install an after market trigger, or does anyone on here work on these critters  to do a custom tune, etc ?

I'll get something better some day, but for now I'm limited and would like to make this white elephant into a decent shooter.

TIA,
Jim

Welcome Jim,,,,

Nice to have you with us  :)

I have 2 Winchester 1000's and I love them.  Mine are completely stock and I'll be the first to admit they are  rather "harsh",,, but they are  also  my hardest hitting .177's  rifles and  deadly accurate.  I've done quite a bit of squirrel hunting with mine and they're  a hammer for sure, easily taking tree rats out to 40 yards.

There are in fact a couple of web sites that give very good info on tuning the rifle and the trigger.  I'll search through my website archive and find some and post em for ya but I'm on my way out the door with the wife so I'll have to post em later.... Of course in the meantime I'm sure one of the other GTA members will chime in and help ya out....

Again, WELCOME.....  I'll be looking forward to your future posts....

A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history - with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.
most all personal problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives
