Chinese Underlever

Hi all,I got this Chinese underlever in.177 it has an X on the top...no serial # that I can see...the breech pulls back toward the stock..any idea what model this is? I've had it awhile(10+ yrs) I can,t mount a scope on it,unless I do it on the stock...sorry I haven't got the hang of posting a pic yet..comp illiterate old guy..just getting back into airgunning(everyone needs a hobby) Any help would be appreciated thx Thump

If it's real rough it is most likely a B 3-1 Cummins tool rifle, $20 sell price....

The most common China brand under-lever is the Industry Brand B3-X. There are others however but most are pretty much the same design.

Common to one of the Tool Sales Companies!

There is also Xcisco (XSB-X) and Norinco (B4-X) It's some what hard to tell if the seller and  manufacture are one in the same. Could be Shanghai Air Gun Factory and XS (something or other) are the manufactures of all the air guns coming out of China. For sure they are sold under many different brand names.

Thanks for the quick replies,ok now I know approx.what this is...the only difference between the B3-1 and mine is my rear sight is behind the loading breech...probably an early model...now to find out what others have done to it,,to tame the twang and reduce the trigger pull...I swear i;m trying to pull a barn when I fire this thing..lol

I have 2 older B3-1s and one is just like yours, with the rear sight behind the loading port, and no scope dovetails.

Great at lease mine isn't an orphan...lol   I guess a dovetail scope rail is out of the question huh....ohhh well   Plan  " B"  better work  there are reference pics of AK 47's with a bracket mounted to the stock,,,I'm talkin Vietnam days here and a scope mounted on the top of this 3 angle plate...anyone have any other ideas???

Check out Kermit air gun club's web site. They from time to time do a best of the best B-3 competition. some pretty good stuff on there for the B-3's

I'm wondering if this isn't a B4 and not a 3  the 4 looks to be a lot like what I have(sight behind the loading port) good thing I live in the state of confusion...lol

I thought the B4 was a .22 cal. And, no, yours isn't an orphan. I bought both of mine around 1994-1995. Haven't put 100 rounds through the 2 of them. I keep telling myself I'll tune them and make delrin spring guides/top hats. Thought about trying to install a Crosman quest spring in one of them.

I'd never thought about the caliber jaymo,I'd just seen a pic of the B4 and the rear sight was behind the loading port,and it got me to thinking that what I was looking at was identical to mine.Hmmmmmm thx sir      Thump

I think you may have just "Fixed" my gun...  LOL

I bought a cheep springer at a flee market a few years ago for $20.  it never shot right, no power, and pellets went all over. Tonight I am search the web trying to find out if this gun is worth getting tuned, or just toss it.  All I knew was that it was a "B4"  After reading this thread, I looked the gun over a bit more carfully, and found the makers stamp -  Turns out it is a B4-2, and is .22 cal...  I have been feeding it .177 pellets... :p

Tomorrow I'm gonna pick up some .22's and see if it will shoot straight...

A wise man once said......If your Wife doesn't find you handsome...she sure should find you handy !  Good Luck with the proper size pellets in your shooter...I'm wondering ...how the heck you kept them in the barrel?..LOL

Kinda sounds like my Red Rider days of yore...when the spring wouldn't hold the BB..we improvised and only shot at birds in the upper branches

I don't know IF they were staying in the barrel...  all shots sounded like dry-fires, even the ones that I know shot a pellet...

But then, with the too-small pellet, I guess they mostly were dry-fires...   Hope they gun is not damaged too much, I have "shot" it only about 2 dozen times...
