Take the rear grip frame screw and the rear breech screw out, remove the plug from the end of the tube and there is the hammer spring. You can get a stiffer spring from the hardware store. You might want to try several different ones to see what works the best.

My bad, I forgot about the rear cockers. You could put a lighter spring in the valve. That would help it dump all the air and make it easier to pump too. The only drawback is you may have to cock it before pumping or the hammer will hold the exhaust valve open.

i put a lighter valve spring in and now i have a washer behind the hammer spring
like you said the hammer hold the valve oen so i have to cock it b4 pumping
now it will dump 40 pumps but it hold more than that when i try 50 really no reason for this but if she can hold it ill try it she wont dump 50 but i am more than satisfied with the 40
thanks for the input
