Took a little chance on this one. Hope no one minds.
I've been doing a good deal of practice offhand shooting with a couple of rifles at distances between 10m and 30 yards. The 10m was focused on general fun and on these matches. The longer distances were to help me be a better offhand shooter in the field. 33y is my practical limit at home but I don't do that offhand very often, I need to stick to under 25 to feel good about staying on the paper (or close enough to still hit the backstop).
Why do I ramble.... Well, I've decided to make this my challenge target. I am handicapping myself by shooting from a longer distance. My goal is to be as competitive with scores as I have been in the past and therefore give myself a reason to practice a little more. If this is too far outside the spirit of the matches, please just tell me and I'll stop. Otherwise, 19y (19.67 from back foot to target is the limit on my indoor range) will be my go forward distance.
For match scoring, I'd like to just ignore that fact that I'm backing up unless you think it offers me an advantage somehow, then I'll stop.
