Thanks for the interest Shady. The rifle is on the way back to Iowa for repair. I spoke to Mike, and he thinks there is a problem with the piston seal. The gun started smoking so bad it was coming out the back end by the safety. Being that the gun is brand new, I thought it best to send it back.

I have very little experience with the mechanics of a springer, and I have not tried to build a spring compressor to get inside of one yet, but my Gamo seems to be down on power a little so it might be my first guinea pig.

The B26-2 should get to Mike on Tuesday, so I will probably get it back here in Central Florida by the end of the month.

By the way, Mike is such a great guy that he sent me a brand new XS-B12 rifle for FREE because of all my troubles, It arrived yesterday, can you believe that !!! I was shocked, and impressed. It has a funky trigger, but it shoots great at 10 yards. Men like that restore my faith in humanity.

I will post a second,or is it third review once I get it back.  Good shooting, snookman

I spoke to mike on Thursday. My B26 had an imperfection at the bottom of the compression chamber that cut the seal, which caused the lack of power and all the smoking.

My new rifle is on the way. Mike is also sending the barrel assembly from the old rifle to me so that I can see which one shoots the best. I think that is very nice.

The new rifle should be here next week. snookman
