I have a .22 caliber RWS 350 and a .25 caliber B28. I have both mounted with the droop compensating UTG mount and Leapers 4x scopes. My .22 RWS 350 has had well over 1,000 shots fired through it in the last year or so (probably closer to 2,000) and the Leapers scope has held up fine and held zero. I have only had the B28 for approximately 4-5 months. I scoped it with standard mounts to start with and another model scope which worked fine for a few weeks. Then I decided to set it up exactly like the RWS 350 and mounted the UTG droop mount and an identical 4x Leapers scope on it. The B28 did not need the droop mount but it is such a solid setup I decided to use it anyway. The B28 has a much harsher firing cycle that the RWS 350. Neither one has been tuned. The 4x Leapers scope was wrecked in short order by the B28. It was the only Leapers scope I have ever had problems with and I own several others. Leapers replaced it free of charge. The new 4x Leapers now sits on top of my B28 with just enough shots fired to sight it in. I am going to try tame the recoil by putting tar on the spring and polish the insides a bit. Perhaps the original Leapers scope was faulty. Time will tell if the big B28 is simply too much gun for that style scope. The B28 actually weighs one pound less than the RWS 350 with mount and scope and I'm sure this adds to the recoil. The stock on the B28 is a bit smaller and does not feel as dense as the RWS 350 stock which might explain the difference in weight. I would also recommend the B28 in .22 caliber. The pivot pin in the breech block of the .25 caliber models actually intrudes into the bore causing a raised spot on the barrel. Mine suffers from this. I posted pictures on the yellow forum a couple of months ago. A man who goes by C.A.P. (Chris) advised me of the problem. I bought the B28 from Mike Melick (spelling?) and he acknowledged the problem but I haven't heard back from him concerning what he or the manufacturer intends to do to help correct the problem or if I'm just stuck with an air rifle with a "speed bump" in the barrel. A quick search on the yellow should take you to the picture I posted there. Apparently my picture is too large to post on this forum.
