When I found this forum I didn't know anything about air guns I spent a lot of time reading in the library the part that lists what lubes you may need listed silicone oil. I was never able to find it until now. It's cheap $3 for 2oz shipping is $4.99 when you get to the site type silicone oil in search

Thanks JD !

I guess you didn't catch one of Bob's posts, he stated that it can be purchased at Hobby Shops that deal with Slot Car Racing Cars. He said that it comes in different weights also, but I do not remember which weight that he recomended ?

I wrote it down some were but couldn't find it :( Bob uses 30 wt. 100% silicone oil only.

Now I guess that I'll have to do a search on it !

I found it, right in the Library :

100% Silicone Oil

Purchase from any Hobby Center that has Radio Controlled race cars. It comes in many weights just like motor oil but in small quantities. I use 30wt shock oil only. Used in many applications and as a mix for some of the home brews.

That was the problem with finding it. I have not seen a hobby shop or slot car race track place in 30 years. I remember going to place that had a track that was at ten cars wide and went around the perimeter of a double wide strip store. It closed up years ago.

I bought my silicone shock oil from Amazon.com,,, the supplier was in fact a hobby store and the oil was advertised as being used for "slot cars".  Matter of fact there were numerous "stores" on Amazon that offered the oil for sale....

They did in fact have several weights available, I wound up ordering the weight oil that Bob recommended.....   stuff worked great  :)
