Scopes for a B40
« on: May 26, 2010, 12:56:37 PM »
I got my B40 with the Xisco 3-9x40 Scope and it's a real nice clear scope but I think I will move it to the B28 when that comes in.

The B40 shoots so smooth and gentle I am wondering what scopes will work on it? I have a BSA 6-24x40 Mil dot ILL brand new in the box but I think it may be long and hang over the loading port. I also have a BSA Contender Target 4-16x40 Side Parallax MIL Dot which I am sure is not overly long. I would love to use the 6-24 if it will hold up and not interfere with loading. Anyone here try these scopes on springers?

I just installed one right now on my BAM B26 and it seems to be holding up to the recoil. It's a BSA 6-24X44 Sidewheel Focus scope. Haven't consumed a tin yet so I can't say if it's tough. at 24X it's pretty much easy to see everything clearly at 60 yards (that's the farthest I can set up a target in my backyard). The sidewheel focus is a joy to use. BTW I am using a high single piece scope mount by accushot.

Oh man I tried one like that (not side focus) on my B26 and it went to hell fast. Also the breach would contact the end of the scope when I cocked the gun. The scope sits in a box broke. I put the contender on the B40 when I got home with medium 2 piece 4 screw rings, it seems to be holding up fine for now and I really like the turret design on it.
