Lucked into an old Qb-78 today
« on: September 22, 2006, 12:09:00 PM »
It's one of the old light colored stock models still in the remains of the original box. Looks to have never been shot, no scratches on any of the parts. The cap O-ring was leaking and I had an old OE ring in the spares drawer so I put that in and it's now holding gas. The bore had never been cleaned, patches came out brown for a long time. I kind of like the old color stocks but don't like the poor quality, what a difference a few years makes. I might just do up a few light colored stocks if anyone would want one. Shoots right at 600 fps and is real steady but is not to accurate, yet. Once the bore gets broke in it should do a lot better. Almost had forgotten how quiet a stock .177 is.

Yup, I shot an old one a few months back in .177.  Not bad looking wood, and when it shot it was very quiet.  Btw Mike, got that AR2078 into a stock and out into the yard today....man, that thing packs some serious whoop@$$!!!

I'm still slightly recovering from a serious case of jetlag, but I have some things in the works for your site...you should get an email within a day or two, I just need to remember which way the Earth turns again:)

PS: if you use your web address in your signature be sure to include "http://"  then your address be will a link instead of plain text like:

pretty typical of bulliten board parsing, same thing happens at the Crosman forum:)
